And this is the year 2009? WTF? I'm Jewish and I know that religious Jews who practice Shabbat laws (yep, there are lots of them, and they basically say you're not allowed to do much of anything-- you can have sex, though) often circumvent them by using timers on electrical appliances, including lights-- apparently, God doesn't mind. I’m Jewish and I know that religious Jews who practice Shabbat laws (yep, there are lots of them, and they basically say you’re not allowed to do much of anything– you can have sex, though) often circumvent them by using timers on electrical appliances, including lights– apparently, God doesn’t mind. I have a friend who doesn’t spend money on Shabbat, but for some reason thinks it doesn’t count if it’s his credit card!
